About Us

DocBox, Inc. was founded in 2007 by Tracy Rausch and Dr. Brent Segal. Our headquarters are in Waltham, Massachusetts, USA.

Tracy Rausch

Ms. Rausch is Co-Founder/CEO/CTO of DocBox, Inc where she oversees the Technical Design and Development of DocBox products. She is also a Technical Advisor to the Medical Device Plug and Play Program at CIMIT, A member of the Technical and Planning Committees for IHE.

Prior to founding DocBox she was a Clinical Systems Engineer for Kaiser Permanente, where she sat on their Medical Device Integration Steering Committee which developed systems strategy for device integration and interoperability. She was also a local member of the regional technology review committee and has published papers in the area of planning and understanding the clinical requirements for medical device integration.

Brent M. Segal

Dr. Segal is Co-founder of DocBox, Inc and General Partner at Atomic Venture Partners (AVP), an early stage venture capital fund with offices in the Silicon Valley, Boston, and OKC. AVP invests in early stage companies that leverage cutting-edge technology for “game-changing” results, those with very large potential markets and compelling high margin business models.

He received his PhD in Chemistry from Harvard University in 2000 and has published frequently in journals including Journal of the American Chemical Society, Inorganic Chemistry, and various IEEE publications. He is frequently invited to speak at conferences and seminars.

He is co-author of over 100 patents and has worked extensively on intellectual property creation and protection issues at both Nycomed and Metaprobe. He is a graduate of Reed College, with a degree in Biochemistry.
